In recent years, Lhasa City has been vigorously strengthening the construction of transportation infrastructure so as to ease the traffic pressure and facilitate the mass travel. The Lhasa Riverside Road is located on the north shore of Lhasa River. It starts from the Linqionggang Road that is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone and ends at the eastern end of Nagjin Road. The whole length is about 19 kilometers and it is expected to be completed in June next year. The construction of the Riverside Road can not only relieve the traffic pressure from east to west of Lhasa City, but also can form a passageway that combines both commuting and leisure functions.
