Tibet's eight cities (Chamdo City, Shigatse City, Tengchen County, Lhari County, Gyantse County, Menling County, Chushur County, Dranang County) are nominated as candidates for the 2018-20 National Civilized Cities.

In recent years, these cities have made great progress in economic development, political stability and spiritual civilization. In accordance with national standards, they will continue to carry forward in creating civilized cities in 2018 to clinch the title as soon as possible.
