Tibet's Shannan's GDP grows 9.7% in Q1

Shannan's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 9.7 percent to 2.91 billion yuan from January to March in 2018. Besides, the tax revenue rose by 36.6 percent to 820 million yuan in the first quarter. The government revenue reached 440 million yuan, with an increase of 20.3 percent. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents is 7,337 yuan and 1,989 yuan, growing 9.6 percent and 11.5 percent respectively. The regional economy makes greater progress at the beginning of this year.

Shannan, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, will draw lessons from the past and overcome economic difficulties. The region is going to make every effort to accelerate industries' development, consistently improve living standards, improve the investment environment and move forward the economic growth.
