Since the comprehensive prevention and control work of hydatid disease has been carried out in March 2017, more than 720,000 people in Shigatse have been screened for the disease and the screening rate is 99.3%. Among which, there are 3216 positive cases through B-ultrasonography, and the prevalence rate is 0.44%. So far, 779 patients have had operative treatment and the surgical rate is 60.2%.
