To change the pattern of relying solely on groundwater for water supply and avoid affecting the groundwater level, the Nachen Water Plant of Lhasa City has started construction since May, 2016. When completed, the water plant will supply 480,000 tons of water a day, making it the main source of water supply for Lhasa.
