Lhasa Economic and Development Zone, a state-level economic region in Lhasa, ranked 65th among 219 competitors according to the recently released overall assessment of national economic development zones by the Ministry of Commerce.
In recent years, Lhasa Economic and Development Zone focuses on the development of local characteristic industries and the real economy. With industrialization as its main course, the zone has seen great progress in economy. Currently, there are 116 manufacturing companies and 13 listed enterprises. The growth rate of the number of companies registered 49.43 percent.
