Highland barley is the staple food crop in Tibet, and it is also an important source for farmers and herdsmen to increase incomes.

According to the agricultural sector of Tibet Autonomous Region, the total output of highland barley reached a record high of 795,000 tons last year. This year, the output is expected to exceed 800,000 tons.
