Along with rapid economic development, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region Airlines has entered a new stage of development and gradually become a mature regional airline company with huge investment. Thus relying on the development of Tibet Airlines, Lhasa Konggar Airport’s annual passenger throughput has set a new record in recent years. In 2016, the annual passenger throughput has exceeded 3 million. From Jan. to Nov. of this year, it has reached 4 million for the first time.

At present, the airline network has extended in all directions by 10 companies and 81 air routes.
