To implement the work plans on poverty alleviation of Party Central Committee and Tibet Autonomous Region, the Health Commission of Tibet strengthened the propaganda of health poverty alleviation policies, and improved farmers and herdsmen's awareness rate of health poverty alleviation policies and health literacy. Recently, the Health Commission of Tibet organized staffs from medical units to provide free clinic to the masses at the relocation site of Namling County, Xigaze City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
Medical staffs distributed commonly used medicines worth more than 60,000 yuan RMB, propaganda materials on health and living goods to the masses at the relocation site. During the free clinic, doctors provided health lectures, physical examination, voluntary diagnosis and treatment, disease consultation, health education and other services. They carried out blood sampling to check hepatitis and blood types, as well as other examination and treatment services, too. This activity enhanced the masses' health care awareness, guided them to detect, prevent, diagnose and treat diseases as early as possible. Free health services are also provided to village task forces in Namling County.
