Recently, as the weather gets warm, rural e-commerce logistics service center, a Jiangsu Province's aiding Lhasa project is resumed construction in Dagze District of Lhasa City, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. In 2019, Jiangsu Province starts 66 projects to aid Tibet, with a total investment of 867.33 million yuan RMB.
Jiangsu's aiding Tibet projects and funds focus on targeted poverty alleviation, national unity, improving people's livelihood, cultural communication, grassroots infrastructure and other key areas. Among them, there are 20 projects to improve production and living conditions with an aid fund of 162.63 million yuan RMB, 20 projects to support social undertakings development with 87.9 million yuan RMB, 12 projects to develop characteristic industries and promote employment with 80.46 million yuan RMB, 4 projects for intelligence support with 10.85 million yuan RMB, 9 projects of exchanges and communicatio, with 11.9 million yuan RMB, and 1 project to support grassroots organizations and political power construction with 3 million yuan RMB.
Cultural tourism is the pillar industry of Lhasa City. Project (the 4th phase) of improving rural environment is a typical example that combines industrial development with poverty alleviation in a village of Dagze District, with an investment of 23 million yuan RMB. The project effectively develops Dagze's folk tourism cultural resources, focuses on integrating ethnic handicraft industry, pure land health industry and modern tourism, rebuilds Tibetan dwellings into Tibetan guesthouses, and improves rural roads and public facilities, so as to construct a beautiful countryside demonstration area in Lhasa City. After the completion of the project, it is expected that the increase of tourist reception will exceed 20% in 2019, which will bring 4 million yuan RMB of comprehensive tourism income.
Jiangsu Province will make greater efforts to implement aiding Tibet projects and aid work in other fields, and to focus on exploring a new path of integrated aid to Tibet.
