Constructing irrigation and water conservancy infrastructures, as well as increasing and improving irrigation areas are important parts of agriculture in Tibet Autonomous Region. Recently, departments at all levels in Tibet have attached great importance to the construction and maintenance of irrigation and water conservancy facilities, and organized the masses to check and maintain water conservancy facilities such as farmland water, small reservoirs and river ways, so as to ensure enough water for agriculture and production.
