Tibetan medicine is a featured and advantageous resource as well as an important part of the medical and health work in Tibet. In recent years, through improving policies and measures as well as enhancing service quality, Tibet's grassroots Tibetan medicine service capacity has been significantly improved.

By 2020, 100% of township hospitals and community health service institutions in Tibet will have the capacity to provide Tibetan medicine services, and 100% of village clinics will be able to provide Tibetan medicine services or integrated Tibetan and western medicine services. Over 80% of township hospitals and 100% of community healthcare centers will build comprehensive service areas for Tibetan medicine.
