The restoration and reconstruction of Gyirong Risur Bridge is a major project of "One Belt and One Road" initiative. After the completion of the project, it will further consolidate and develop the exchanges and cooperation between China's Tibet Autonomous Region and Nepal as well as bring greater convenience to the exchanges of personnel and materials between China and Nepal. The project is expected to be completed by the end of May and open to traffic in June.
