Recently, the opening ceremony of Tibetan incense experience space, which is jointly created by Tonba Tibetan Incense Professional Cooperative and Tibet Fengmar Culture and Creativity Company, has been officially launched in Tibet.
Tibetan incense is a national intangible cultural heritage, and one of the most distinctive cultural symbols in Tibet. The history of Tibetan incense making can be traced back to 1300 years ago, and its traditional making skills have been passed down until today by people from Tonba Village of Nyemo County.
At the activity site, visitors are deeply attracted to take part in the Tibetan incense making. "A couple spend nearly one day experiencing the process of Tibetan incense making for four times to feel the charm of Tibetan incense", says Gong Yan, a person in charge of the Tibet Fengmar Culture and Creativity Company.
Through experiencing Tibetan incense making, the brand influence and sales volume of Tibetan incense have been increased. The project will drive the overall upgrading of Tonba Tibetan incense, spread Tibetan incense culture, and promote targeted poverty alleviation work in Tonba Town.
Dawa, representative of the Tonba Tibetan Incense Professional Cooperative explains reasons on jointly creating Tibetan incense experience space with Tibet Fengmar Culture and Creativity Company, "the company's ideas on upgrading the Tibetan incense industry, spreading Tibetan incense culture, winning the fight against poverty, and consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation are perfectly in line with our demands".
Tibet Fengmar Culture and Creativity Company has signed an order with a value of 3 million yuan RMB with the Tonba Tibetan Incense Professional Cooperative. Under the background of speeding up the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, the company will combine "intangible cultural heritage" with "targeted poverty alleviation" to create a nascent state of intangible cultural heritage in Tibet. In the near future, the company will also expand the development mode of "culture and creativity+ experience" into the fields of Tibetan carpet, Tibetan medicinal bathing, Thangka, and other intangible cultural heritage industries.
