In order to enable children with congenital heart disease can be early detected and timely treated, under the strong support of the 9th batch of aid-Tibet working group of Zibo City in Shandong Province, nearly 1,000 children in Ngamring County of Xigaze City were screened for congenital heart disease for free.

Coordinated by the working group, 5 medical experts were sent to Nagmring County to carry out the screening work. Despiting physical exhaustion and altitude sickness, experts immediately went to several towns of Nagmring County to diagnose the children. They said, "the statistical data obtained from this screening actively provided first-hand information for the diagnosis and treatment of plateau congenital heart disease, and also laid a good foundation for the further development of medical assistance to Tibet."
