In Gemar Village, Tarma Town of Xainza County of Nagqu City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, all villagers know "Kunga Rinchen" and his story.

Kunga Rinchen, a villager born in 1988 in Gemar Village, is also the legal person of Gemar Xinglong Construction Co., Ltd. When he was a child, he dropped out of school after graduating from primary school because of his family was very poor, and worked outside being engaged in construction. He wasn't highly educated and didn't master any skills, which made his work very difficult. Therefore, he realized that he needed both skills and a higher level of education to change fate.

From then on, he continuously learnt from experienced masters and consulted various construction problems on the construction site. Meanwhile, he was immersed in acquiring the Party's theoretical knowledge and understood knowledge about the state and region, too. In 2011, 23-year-old Kunga Rinchen joined the Communist Party of China (CPC).

In 2016, the fight against poverty was launched across the country. Then, he expressed his willing of starting his own business to the town government, and used his saving of 50,000 yuan RMB to establish Gemar Xinglong Construction Co., Ltd. with local government's support, mainly doing construction business.

As an outstanding youth representative in the town, he preferred to help poor ones, and hired more than 180 local poor people to work in his company. Originally, these people had no skills, confidence and patience, which really made him feel overwhelmed.

In order to change this situation, he did all work with others, and carried out targeted and long-term ideological & political education for other workers, which gradually changed their minds as well as made them actively participate in the work.

Since 2017, the company has successively undertaken construction projects such as livestock sheds, material reserve warehouses, relocation sites and others, achieving a profit of millions of yuan RMB every year and distributing dividends to poor households. Since 2019, the company's construction team has undertaken another 50 livestock sheds and 1 material reserve warehouse construction project, effectively solving over 180 poor people's employment; each of them has realized an average income increase of 27,000 yuan RMB.

Nowadays, Kunga Rinchen is a famous person in the village. When his name is mentioned, everyone in the village gives him a thumb up. However, he says, "It's not enough. When the company grows, I will arrange workers aged over 60 years old to retire, and provide them with a pension to ensure their lives in old age."
