In recent years, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region has made great efforts to improve its medical and health service capacity. A new model of medical service "Internet + healthcare" helping people to get medical treatment has been carried out in the region.

Based on the model of "Internet + healthcare", the online reservation registration system covering 3 regional-level and 14 municipal-level hospitals was launched on Apr 1, 2019. Since the system was launched, its online registration number reached 29,516, and the online settlement amount exceeded 475,600 yuan RMB. The proportion of online registration has been increasing gradually, further optimizing diagnosis and treatment process, changing the traditional registration model.

With the great improvement of the medical and health service capacity, Tibet has been continually introducing high-quality medical resources from other provinces, to provide convenience for residents in getting better medical treatment.
