In recent years, the popularization of science and technology in agriculture has driven a rapid development of vegetable planting industry, and increased local vegetable market share every year in Lhasa. More pollution-free vegetables have been favored by consumers. Besides, the flourishing of vegetable planting industry has enriched local people's "vegetable basket", and provided an income-generating channel for many local farmers. Currently, more than 3,000 greenhouses have been built in Dekyi Village, converting it into a main vegetable planting base of Lhasa.
