Early in the morning, although there is still a slight chill, the passenger station in Ngari Prefecture, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region already shows a bustling scene of dispatching regular buses.
"Recently, the transportation department in Ngari Prefecture has strictly implemented 24-hour duty and leadership shift system. Besides, under strict epidemic prevention measures, it has enhanced command and dispatch, as well as road traffic control, effectively helped work and school resume. From January to April this year, more than 160 regular buses have run in the prefecture, providing convenience for 3,200 people including 1,100 students", says Penpa, the deputy director of Ngari Prefecture Road Transport Bureau.
After buying tickets, passing through the security check and epidemic prevention passage, and placing luggage, 14 passengers who start from Shiquanhe of Ngari Prefecture to Lhasa City, get on a bus and take their seats in separate rows.
Affected by the epidemic, 28-year-old Padma Yudron from Gar County has stayed at home for over a month. As the situation goes better, she has bought a ticket to Lhasa excitedly after the company informing her to return work.
"Now, the weather is getting warmer, I will have enough energy to work well, so as to improve my family condition. Under the guidance of the Party and government, people's lives and incomes will not be affected too much this year, and our lives are getting better", says Padma Yudron".
"At present, the inter-city regular buses from Ngari to Lhasa and Xigaze, and the inter-county regular buses from Shiquanhe to 6 counties have all resumed normal operation. Among them, Ngari—Lhasa shift runs 4 times a month, and the inter-county regular buses run once on each line back and forth everyday, which actively promote orderly flow of people, logistics and capital, and strongly drive a healthy development of Ngari's economy and society", says Penpa.
Winter has passed and spring is coming. These regular buses carry passengers to their dreams and happiness.
