In recent years, thanks to the effective measures, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region has seen a growing number of black-necked cranes. The region is home to over 10,000 black-necked cranes. Lhundrup County of Lhasa City, capital of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, has become a winter habitat for about 2,000 black-necked cranes.
