According to the legend, Thangtong Gyalpo, the founder of traditional opera in Xizang, created Yarlung Tashi Sholpa Opera when he raised funds to build bridges and passed through Tashi Choden, a village of Trandruk Town, Nedong District, Shannan City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. Over the past 600 years, Yarlung Tashi Sholpa Opera has been sung in this village and was listed as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
