In recent years, Dagze District of Lhasa City has built modern agricultural industrial parks and a number of ecological picking gardens through the integrated development model of "agriculture + rural tourism", greatly improving agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers' income.

Located in Qia Village of Zhangduo Town, the Dagze Pure Ecological Picking Garden is the first fig picking garden in Xizang. The picking garden was officially put into operation in April 2018, covering an area of 15 mu, with 8 modern greenhouses. At present, fig, passion fruit, mulberry, strawberry, horn-shaped honeydew melon as well as melon have been successfully planted. Pawpaw, waxberry, banana, grape and other fruits are in the experimental planting stage. Since its establishment, the picking garden has actively driven local villagers to participate in the reconstruction, maintenance, expansion and weeding of greenhouses, attracting an average of 400 people to work every year.
