The 4th China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation, themed as "promoting the harmony of humans and nature, sharing the fruits of cooperation and development", has kicked off in Lunang Town of Nyingchi City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on July 3.

Hosted by the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region, this forum will last for 3 days, consisting of keynote speeches, roundtable discussions and exchanges, press conferences, farmer houses visits, etc., according to the schedule. This forum aims to give full play to Xizang's unique geographical advantages, publicize its development achievements in various fields, and further expand its opening up to the outside world.

At the forum, guests from home and abroad have discussed the development prospects of the trans-Himalayan region around the theme to explore the development path of the region. In-depth discussions on ecological and environmental protection, development cooperation, people and cultural exchanges, and international affairs were also held on the second day of the forum.

It is reported that the forum has been held in Nyingchi in 2018, 2019 and 2023, plus an online symposium on ecological and environmental protection in 2021, which has achieved positive results in showcasing Xizang's achievements in development and construction, improved the international understanding of Xizang, promoted Xizang's opening-up level, and strengthened China's friendly exchanges and cooperation with neighboring countries.
