Recently, the Xizang International Communication Center was officially inaugurated.

As a window for international communication, the center will play a vital role in comprehensively improving the effectiveness of Xizang's international publicity, help more people at home and abroad better understand and attracted by Xizang, create a good public opinion environment for the long-term stability and high-quality development.

Focusing on the overall national strategy and the situation of international publicity work, and through innovation, diverse channels and profound content, the center will build a more effective international communication system for Xizang-related contents, so as to present a true, stereoscopic and comprehensive Xizang to the world, and well tell Xizang stories in the new era.

It is not only a communication event, but also an academic feast. Experts, scholars and representatives from all walks of life at home and abroad gathered in Lhasa for a series of round table activities on "building a more effective Xizang-related international communication system". The guests exchanged views on promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and telling China's Xizang stories well, and shared practical approaches to explore Xizang-related international communication.

Zhan Xun, director of the Department of Journalism and Communication at the School of Public Administration, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, believes that it is necessary to tell stories about modern Xizang to show its image to the world.

Zhang Yaxin, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Television Academy of the Communication University of China, says, "I am honored to be hired as a special expert on Xizang international communication. Establishment of the center is timely, and we can use this event as an opportunity to tell the stories of China's Xizang in a more detailed and vivid way."

Moreover, Xizang Daily International Communication Center was also established today. The "Xizang in Lens" Omnimedia Matrix, hosted by the Xizang International Communication Center, executed by Xizang Daily and Xizang Media Group, which integrates resources of the whole region, will be launched soon.
