Wang Junzheng, secretary of the Party Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region, recently made instructions on the establishment of Xizang International Communication Center, pointing out that the establishment of the center is of great significance in further improving the effectiveness of Xizang-related international communication, strengthening and improving international communication work, and contributing to the long-term stability and high-quality development of Xizang. He hoped that the center would bear in mind the "Two Overall Interests" and the "The Top Priorities of the Country", constantly improve the capacity of political judgment, political comprehension, and political execution, enhance political stance and fulfill the role, strive to promote the high-quality development of Xizang's international communication cause and contribute to building a new, modern socialist Xizang.

Wang Junzheng stressed that the international communication work is an important part of the cause of the Party and the country. It is necessary to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, deeply implement Xi Jinping's important discourses on international communication, completely, accurately and comprehensively carry out Xi Jinping's important instructions on the work of Xizang and the CPC's policies on the governance of Xizang in the new era, implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the Second, Third Plenums of the 20th CPC Central Committee, in accordance with the deployment of the successive Plenums of the 10th plenary session of the Party Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region, uphold the Party's overall leadership and the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and guided by the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, to effectively carry out Xizang-related international communication work, well tell China's Xizang stories and better serve the overall diplomatic situation of the country.

Wang Junzheng also stressed that the Party committees (Party groups) at all levels in the region should attach great importance to international communication work, strengthen organizational leadership, enhance work security, support the construction of international communication work team, improve the awareness of the whole people, and accelerate the construction of multi-channel and stereoscopic international communication pattern.

On September 2, roundtables on "Building a More Effective Xizang-related International Communication System" and the opening ceremony of the Xizang International Communication Center, jointly organized by the Publicity Department of Xizang Autonomous Region and the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, were successfully held in Lhasa. Wang Haizhou, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region and head of the Publicity Department of Xizang Autonomous Region, read the instructions of Secretary Wang Junzheng and made a speech when announcing the center's official inauguration together with  relevant responsible comrades of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration.

Wang Haizhou pointed out in his speech that the establishment of the Xizang International Communication Center is a major decision and deployment made by the Party Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region. It is an inevitable requirement to adapt to the situation of the international public opinion struggle concerning Xizang in the new era and comprehensively improve the effectiveness of international communication, is an urgent need to improve the working mechanism of international communication, innovate international  communication methods, and carry out diverse forms of international communication practice, is an inherent requirement to promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and seize the right to speak in Xizang-related international affairs, and will certainly promote the international communication capacity building of Xizang to a new level.

Wang Haizhou also stressed that it is hoped that departments at all levels and all sectors of society will actively participate in and work together, adhere to the Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, take the establishment of the center as an opportunity, keep the correct political direction, focus on the central task and serve the overall interests, enrich the content and forms of communication, expand the channels and carriers of international communication, deepen reform and innovation in an all-round way, strengthen the construction of personnel for international communication, well tell the story of China's Xizang with diversification and precision, as well as continue to improve the quality and level of Xizang-related international communication work, so as to create a good public opinion environment for building a new modern socialist Xizang.

Relevant responsible comrades of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration were invited, and 300 more people from the country's brother provinces (regions, cities), central news media, colleges and universities inside and outside the region and local cities, districts, etc. participated in this event. Some provincial (autonomous regional, municipal) guests, experts and scholars from home and abroad made exchanges and speeches, meanwhile, contracts on strengthening Xizang-related international communication were signed.
