Unlock Chinese Cities | Blossoming trade: Changsha's economic ties with Africa

Source:Ecns.cn 2024-09-09

image.pngHunan's trade with Africa dates back over 1,000 years, when exquisite porcelain from ancient Changsha kilns was exported to Africa via the Maritime Silk Road. Today, Changsha's ties with Africa have flourished into deeper trade cooperation.

In July, Kenyan roses were re-exported from Changsha to Uzbekistan, marking China’s first African flower re-export—a milestone in Hunan's vision of becoming a global re-export hub for African goods.

Looking ahead, African roses will pass through Changsha, reaching more countries and regions, spreading their fragrance across the world.
