Panchen Erdeni Chos-kyi rGyal-po , the 11th Panchen Rinpoche performs head-touching rituals for religious people in Tashilhunpo Monastery.

Recently, Panchen Erdeni Chos-kyi rGyal-po completed a tour of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, during which he performed regular duties, Buddhist rituals and social activities. 

Panchen Rinpoche is a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top political advisory body. He is also vice president of the Buddhist Association of China and president of the association's Xizang branch.

After completing various activities in Lhasa, Nagqu and Nyingchi, Panchen Rinpoche arrived in Xigaze by train. During his stay in Xigaze, Panchen Rinpoche visited Namling, Zhongba, Saga, Ngamring, Gyangze, Lhaze, Rinbung Counties as well as Sangzhutse District to carry out research and Buddhist activities.

Panchen Erdeni Chos-kyi rGyal-po , the 11th Panchen Rinpoche carries out Buddhist activities in China's Xizang through worshiping the Buddha and lecturing the sutras.

When Panchen Rinpoche arrived at Xigaze Railway Station by train, local people dressed in festive costumes singing and dancing to greet him.

After the welcoming ceremony, Panchen Rinpoche and his delegation went to Tashilhunpo Monastery and worshiped the halls one by one.

In recent years, Xizang has strengthened the construction of ports in an all-round way, promoted high-quality economic and social development in the border areas, so as to lead people living in the border areas to increase their income. Panchen Rinpoche visited Lize Port in Zhongba County to know about the scale, opening and development of the port, as well as its infrastructure conditions. Walking into the house of Tenzin's family in Yare Village, Panchen Rinpoche chatted with them, thumbed up and wished their life getting better and better when hearing the family earned more than 50,000 yuan RMB through border trade last year.

Panchen Rinpoche visited Xigaze Economic Development Zone, Xigaze International Land Port Export Goods Inspection, and Xizang Nienhe Dairy Co., Ltd., learned about the situation of warehousing and logistics, cargo declaration, customs inspection, and the development of private enterprises.

He encouraged private entrepreneurs to unswervingly promote the high-quality development of enterprises and drive more farmers and herdsmen to increase income.

During his stay in Xigaze, Panchen Rinpoche also visited the historic site of Zadong Special Committee and attended a youth conference held by the Xizang Development Fund.

During his stay in Tashilhunpo Monastery, Panchen Rinpoche performed an ordination ceremony for Buddhist monks, attended the dharma assembly, watched the scripture-debating, prayer dance and Tibetan opera. He then gave longevity head-touching blessings to the monks and carried out head-touching rituals for religious people.  

Being welcomed with supreme Buddhist rituals, Panchen Rinpoche attended a series of Buddhist activities in several other monasteries in Xigaze. He led hundreds of Buddhist monks and religious people praying for national prosperity and stability as well as people's well-being.
