Driving out of Golmud of Qinghai Province along the Qinghai-Xizang Highway, the reporters walked into the Kunlun Logistics Park built in 2017 in Golmud, found rows of large trucks arranging neatly. This is the last large rest area before entering Xizang, and is also one of the most complete and largest parking areas on the Qinghai-Xizang Highway, which can meet drivers' needs such as food, accommodation and auto repair, and about 70% of the vehicles resting here are heading to Xizang. In the past, the goods transported to Xizang mainly included daily necessities, fruits and vegetables. In recent years, to meet Xizang’s development and construction needs, the transport of building materials increased.

Over the years, freight trucks and cold chain logistics trucks from all over the country have crossed the Tanggula Mountain Pass at an altitude over 5,000 meters, and transported various production and living materials to Lhasa. The Qinghai-Xizang Highway has not only driven the flow of people, logistics and information, but also promoted the modernization of Xizang.

Lhasa Investment Logistics Park, located along the National Highway 109, mainly undertakes the entire vehicle and large parts business from Lhasa to other places of the country.

"With the development of traffic on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, large enterprises such as JD, Yili Group and Deppon Logistics have settled in one after another, and more and more enterprises have opened provincial branches in Lhasa. At the same time, highland barley products, Tibetan medicine and other specialty products are also sold to other provinces of our country," said Li Xiaojun, an operator in charge.

Also located along the National Highway 109, the Xizang Highland Cold Chain Logistics Port is busy with vehicles running in and out in Doilungdeqen District, Lhasa City. "This is the largest cold chain logistics base in Xizang, using environmentally friendly refrigerants to ensure ecological friendliness." Said Yang Xianqing, head of the logistics port.

The logistics port delivers more than 400 tons of materials to all parts of Xizang every day. "The Qinghai-Xizang Highway is the lifeline of Xizang, and our farthest source of goods is Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province, more than 5,000 kilometers away." Yang Xianqing said.

In a company called "Hongchuchuang" in the logistics port, several young people born in the 1990s are busy in the office. Li Lin, the head of the company, is also a post-90s person who has started his business here for three years.

"We mainly operate hot pot and barbecue ingredients, as well as other condiments. As the consumption demand of peoplein Xizang has increased, high-quality products with good prices have become more popular, and consumers are getting better food for the same cost." He said that the cold chain logistics in Xizang is developing faster day by day, and it has also led to more employment. There are more than 700 employeesin the logistics port.

"My business is continuously booming. I got a new car and a big house, thanks to the Qinghai-Xizang Highway." 45-year-old Nyima Gyalpo, from Shannan City, has been engaged in yak meat sales for eight years, "I mainly buy yak meat in bulk from various places, and then retail it to all parts of Xizang, with an annual output value of about 80 million yuan."

Jiang Hao, a truck driver from Yantai City, Shandong Province, who was born in 1994, has been driving on the Qinghai-Xizang Highway for four years, covering 4,000 kilometers in each trip. With the increase of customers, Jiang Hao's cold chain truck has increased from one to five, with an annual income of more than 600,000 yuan.

"The service on the Qinghai-Xizang Highway is getting better and better." Jiang Hao said.
