Gyangtse County is one of the main highland barley producing areas and seed bases in Xizang. In recent years, Gyangtse County vigorously develops the highland barley industry as a new path. Traditional products such as Tsampa, highland barley wine have been upgraded to bread and canned wine, which have been sold in Shanghai. The county achieved an output value of 148 million yuan this year, a year-on-year increase of 66 percent.
