In the first 10 months of 2024, Xizang played a leading role in China-Nepal trade with a total value of 3.14 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 46.4 percent, accounting for 28 percent of the China-Nepal trade. The Belt and Road Initiative highlighted Xizang's advantages as an important gateway to South Asia.
