Medical teams from other parts of China have been sent to assist Xizang since August 2015. To date, a total of 2,000 medical professionals from 184 hospitals have been dispatched in 10 groupings to Xizang, helping the region carry out new programs and new technologies, plug 2,500 gaps in medical technology. 

The upper picture shows medical team from Quanzhou of Fujian Province on the way to provide health inspection for herdsmen in pastoral areas of Lhorong County, Qamdo City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. The bottom picture shows experts of the emergency medical rescue team from West China Hospital of Sichuan University discussing the treatment for casualties caused by the earthquake in Dingri county together with medical staff from the Xigaze People's Hospital.
