On Feb. 9, the 9th Asian Winter Games entered its second day of competition. Tseten Yudron from China's Xizang Autonomous Region captured the gold in two minutes and 55.88 seconds at the ski mountaineering women's sprint race, marking the 11th gold medal for the Chinese delegation at the ongoing Asian Winter Games.

As the sport made its debut at the Asian Winter Games, Tseten Yudron created history and won the first gold medal in the history of the sport. Additionally, this is also the first gold medal won by a Tibetan athlete at the Asian Games (Asian Winter Games).

Yu Jingxuan from Shandong and Sonam Qodron from Xizang claimed silver and bronze, respectively. Ji Lulu from Shandong finished fourth. China swept the top four positions in this event.

"This is my first time participating in the Asian Winter Games. I feel very excited to win the gold medal. This achievement is the result of everyone's joint efforts. I will strive for further success in the upcoming competitions," Tseten Yudron said.

"It's a great honor for me to participate in the competition, and I'm very happy to stand on the podium today. I want to thank my coach for his careful guidance, and my family for their care and support. I will continue to improve myself and strive for better results," Sonam Qodron said.

On Feb. 9, the ski mountaineering women's sprint final of the 9th Asian Winter Games was held in Yabuli, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. Chinese athlete Tseten Yudron from the Tibetan ethnic group won the gold medal in two minutes and 55.88 seconds, marking the 11th gold medal for the Chinese delegation at the Asian Winter Games.
