"Look, the length of the thread must be precise, the tension in your hands must be even, and the stretching must be done properly. Only then will the pattern be compact and well-formed, and the bags you weave will look beautiful." The teacher from the Xizang Taxi Vocational Skills Training School is explaining and demonstrating the production process and technical essentials of hand weaving to trainees one-on-one and step-by-step. Under the guidance of teachers, everyone is concentrating on learning while operating, practicing repeatedly until they become proficient.
"I can come here to learn weaving skills after finishing my housework in the morning, which is very convenient. The cooperative not only provides us women with a platform for learning skills, but also gives us a chance to earn money. Women who stay at home are willing to come here to learn weaving skills, which makes us feel particularly accomplished," said villager Tashi Chodron with a smile.

Revitalizing traditional handicrafts is an important way to enrich rural life and develop cultural industries. In recent years, Ruzi Village has utilized the winter idle period to open traditional handweaving training courses, effectively harnessing the creativity of manual laborers, and encouraging rural women to become disseminators and promoters of handicraft culture. At the same time, this has also brought tangible benefits to the masses.
Handicraft skills are helping rural women weave a beautiful new picture of rural revitalization with their hands.
