On the afternoon of March 3, National People's Congress (NPC) deputies and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) members from southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region arrived in Beijing by air to attend this year's two sessions.
During their journey to Beijing, they conducted in-depth exchanges on the results of grassroots research.
"I will not only convey the good news about the development of people's livelihood in Xizang, but also bring the actual situation of the medical and health industry and the aspirations of the masses to Beijing," said Nyima, a deputy to the National People's Congress and deputy director of Lhasa People's Hospital.
"The responsibility on my shoulders is not light!" said Dawa Tsering, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top political advisory body, and vice president of the Xizang Branch of the Buddhist Association of China. He looked through the photos on his mobile phone taken during his research and told reporters that before the two sessions, he revisited the counties, townships, and villages along the border in Shannan City. The lives of the grassroots people have changed a lot, and they have more expectations for the future life.
All deputies and members expressed that they will conscientiously perform their duties and contribute their wisdom and strength to the successful completion of all agendas of the two sessions.
