In the early spring, walking into Zhomda Town in Nang County, Nyingchi City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, one can see rows of Tibetan-style new houses neatly arranged, with paved roads connecting the villages. As the construction project of the harmonious and beautiful countryside in Zhomda Town progresses, hundreds of farmers and herdsmen in the villages of the town have moved from stone and wood houses into modern new homes, opening a new chapter of happy life.

During the Tibetan New Year, Jamyang Tsomu, a villager from Lhadingxoi Village, moved into a new house of over 300m² to celebrate the festival. The living room is spacious and bright, equipped with a separate kitchen and bathroom with complete facilities, and there is even a dedicated study room for the children. Stepping into her new home, Jamyang Tsomu was busy serving steamed beef buns to guests in the clean and bright kitchen. With eight members spanning three generations, Jamyang Tsomu's family usually gather in the living room to chat and entertain themselves, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere.

"Moving into the new house, we are truly happy. Previously, our whole family squeezed into two rooms, but now everyone has their own bedroom," said Tashi Ngodrup, Jamyang Tsomu's father, who couldn't hide his excitement and joy when talking about their new home. "Thanks to the good policies of the Party and the government, we can live in such a good house. Next, we plan to start a small business and we are confident that our life will get better and better." Speaking of the future, Jamyang Tsomu was full of confidence.

Yeshe Samdrup, a villager from Gyelshe Village, introduced his new house to the reporters. His father, Ngalek, was watering flowers and enjoying the sunshine in the bright and airy sunroom comfortably. "We moved into our new house in February this year. We will not let down the favorable policies of the Party and the government, and we will work hard with our own hands to create a more happier life," said Yeshe Samdrup.

In Doishul Village, villagers held a cultural performance to celebrate their moving into new homes, expressing their joy through dance and song, and showing their gratitude for the beneficial policies of the Party and the government.

In recent years, Zhomda Town in Nang County has invested more than 36.8 million yuan to promote the construction of harmonious and beautiful countryside, benefiting 275 households. Meanwhile, the town has improved infrastructure such as road hardening and sewage treatment, and developed characteristic industries such as "one village, one product".

Today, strolling through Zhomda Town, one can see Tibetan-style new houses lining up in neat rows, with paved roads leading right to their doorsteps. From having a place to live to living in a good place, Zhomda Town is painting a new picture of happy and prosperous life.
