Qangkyim Village, Qonggyai County of Shannan City in China's Xizang is renowned for its "Qiangqin Highland Barley Wine". Legend says that Princess Wencheng once used locally grown highland barley and crystal-clear stream water to brew sweet highland barley wine through a "double-round fermentation" method. Since then, the custom of brewing highland barley wine has been passed down in the local area to this day. As inheritor of this intangible cultural heritage, Losang Dorje now runs a brewing workshop with annual profits reaching 500,000 yuan.
