According to data from the White Paper: Human Rights in Xizang in the New Era, 51,000 new jobs were created in urban areas in 2024. The surveyed urban unemployment rate has remained below the national average. The number of farmers and herders in non-farming employment stood at 648,000, up from 450,000 in 2012. For consecutive years, the employment rate of new college graduates has remained at a relatively high level.
