Over the years, the People's Government of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region has been striving to promote the inheritance and development of Tibetan medicine. Recently, the Xizang University of Tibetan Medicine published the first-ever postgraduate textbook series in the history of Tibetan medical higher education. Comprising 14 volumes, this series covers five major fields including fundamental theories of Tibetan medicine, classical studies, clinical practice, Tibetan pharmacology, and Tibetan astronomical calendar calculations, filling a critical gap in textbooks for Tibetan medical higher education.
