On April 18, "The Distant Lhasa River" premiered in Beijing as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Xizang Autonomous Region. Based on the real-life stories of aid-Xizang cadres like Cheng Yanjie and Song Yile, who are from Beijing, the drama artistically portrays the aid-Xizang spirit and the profound bond between ethnic groups.
