Cordyceps sinensis is a precious traditional Chinese medicinal herb, and Nagqu in Xizang is one of its main production areas. To protect and scientifically utilize Nagqu's cordyceps resources, the official authorities of China's Xizang have enacted the "Nagqu City Cordyceps Sinensis Protection and Management Regulations", which will take effect on May 1, 2025, marking Xizang's first local legislation specifically targeting the protection and management of a single biological resource.
