On April 28, Qamdo Bangda Airport, the world's second-highest civilian airport at an elevation of 4,334 meters, celebrated its 30th anniversary of operation. As a vital transportation hub in eastern Xizang of China, Bangda Airport officially commenced operations on April 28, 1995, marking the end of Qamdo's era of "inaccessible transportation" and making significant contributions to Xizang's development.
