The Nanshan Park in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,700 meters, was once a barren hill with exposed yellow sand. However, today's Nanshan Park has seen the planting of over 800,000 tree saplings, with an afforestation area spanning more than 4,350 mu (about 2.9 km²).
