The Marbo Tso Site, located in Xigaze City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, is a lakeside settlement from the Neolithic Age, where a substantial number of animal and plant remains have been unearthed. How did ancient humans adapt to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau? And on what did the ancient inhabitants rely for survival? Answers to these questions have been uncovered through the aid of technological methods such as ancient DNA analysis and stable carbon and nitrogen isotope analysis.
