Eight-year-old Tenzin Chosphel rolled a hoop in front of an adobe house, while his daughter Tenzin Yudron made a "V" sign in front of a Subor game console. Seven-year-old Tenzin Desar laughed joyfully in a heated swimming pool.

From a 50-square-meter communal courtyard to a standalone villa, from sharing a dry latrine to enjoying smart home amenities, and from textbooks entirely in Tibetan to multimedia classrooms, the childhood memories of three generations in this family mirror the epochal changes that have taken place on the snowy plateau.
