Recently, the "Implementation Plan for the 'Sailing' Action on Large-Scale 5G Application (2025-2027)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Plan") has been issued, according to the Communications Administration of Xizang Autonomous Region. The "Implementation Plan" sets out an overall goal of "fully achieving large-scale 5G application by the end of 2027," focusing on 5G network capabilities, application empowerment, and application ecosystems.

The "Implementation Plan" proposes four special initiatives: "enhancing full-scenario network service capabilities, empowering the transformation and upgrading of characteristic industries with 5G, promoting the inclusive upgrading of public services with 5G, and fostering an interconnected innovation ecosystem for 5G applications." These initiatives systematically deploy 18 key tasks to drive the large-scale development of 5G applications in Xizang, deeply advance the empowerment of various industries with 5G, and promote the formation of a high-level development model characterized by "demand driving supply and supply creating demand".

Next, the Communications Administration of Xizang Autonomous Region will strengthen communication and cooperation with relevant departments, lead the entire industry in earnestly implementing the "Implementation Plan," coordinate the advancement of key tasks, persist in empowering various industries with 5G applications, continuously promote the digital transformation of plateau-specific industries and the inclusive digital upgrading of public services, constantly enhance new drivers and advantages for development, and better serve the high-quality economic and social development of Xizang.
