Recently, a research team has identified a new tree frog species -- the Medog tree frog -- in mountainous areas of Medog county, Xizang Autonomous Region, at altitudes ranging from 500 to 1,700 meters. Named the Rhacophorus medogensis, this medium-sized frog exhibits a reddish-brown or grayish-green dorsal coloration. Distinctive features include a pointed snout with a skin projection, black blotches along its flanks, and triangular skin folds at the tarsal-tibial joint.
