On June 5, World Environment Day, 231,000 rare and endemic fish fry from the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River -- including species such as the Schizothorax waltoni and Oxygymnocypris stewarti -- were released at a stocking site in Gyaca County, Shannan City, Xizang Autonomous Region. This activity has been carried out continuously for 11 years, with a cumulative release of 1.742 million fish fry to date.
