Recently, construction commenced on the world's highest-altitude and Xizang's first tower-type solar thermal power plant. The plant employs molten salt tower technology, utilizing heliostats to concentrate sunlight and heat molten salt for energy storage, enabling stable power generation. It is expected to provide 260 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 165,000 tons.
