Can egg-laying hens experience altitude sickness? It's not as far-fetched as it sounds. At an elevation of 3,800 meters in Buren Valley, Pozhang Town, Nedong District, Shannan City, Xizang Autonomous Region, an egg-laying hens industrial park has tackled the issue of "oxygen deprivation" in hens by installing intelligent environmental control systems, which regulate heating, humidity, ventilation, and oxygen levels. Currently housing over 1 million high-yield egg-laying hens, the park produces over 800,000 fresh eggs daily, significantly boosting Xizang's self-sufficiency in fresh egg supply.
