In the first half of 2025, Xizang Autonomous Region achieved a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 138.272 billion yuan (RMB), marking a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. The growth rate was 1.9 percentage points higher than the national average. Xizang has consecutively ranked among the top regions in China for several quarters in terms of GDP growth rate.
